THE GOLFING SOCIETY OF THE BRIGHTON FOOTBALL CLUB (RFU) 

Sometime in 1999

Dear Fellow Golfer,

It has been decided by a team of distinguished and influential former rugby players to formalise the occasional ad-hoc golfing events, which have taken place under the informal auspices of the Rugby Club.

To this end, we are delighted to inform you of the creation of the Golfing Society of The Brighton Football Club (RFU), which will be known as The Rugby Golfing Society, (or "The RUGS" for short) and in addition, formally invite you to join.

The aims and objectives of the Society are to keep up the contact level of old farts and blazered-buffoons and to raise money for the playing development of the club.
